LOCAL TRAILS

1. Lake Geneva Lake Shore Path

The 21-mile Geneva Lake shore path allows hikers to literally walk through the back yards of striking century-old mansions and estates owned by the Rockefellers, the Wrigleys and the Swifts. Even more striking than the buildings were the towering oaks, the carefully pruned shrubs, the tulips and azaleas and pale-blue clouds of forget-me-not. This path can be broken down into many different lengths or can be done in about 6-10 hours ( depending on your walking speed and food stops.) The path is a good place to take your dogs for a walk, it is the unofficial dog park of Lake Geneva. Because the path is maintained by the adjoining property owns it is of uneven quality. While mountain biking is possible, you will have to carry your bike in allot of segments since property owners have build patios on the path.

Bigfoot Beach, WI
2. Big Foot Beach State Park Trail
The park has 5.5 miles of hiking trails through forest and open meadow. Most of the trails are relatively short and none are very strenuous. The big loop is great training for a trail 10k!! We also have a self-guided nature trail with interpretive signs about interesting natural phenomena along the trail.Maps are available at the office. The Big Foot Beach State Park Trails are a little hop skip and a jump away. It's always nice when you end your run to finish up by the beautiful Geneva Lake.
