Outdoor Industry Association

Founded in 1989, Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) is the premier trade association for companies in the active outdoor recreation business.

 

The Outdoor Foundation

Conservation Alliance

The Conservation Alliance is a group of outdoor industry companies that disburses its collective annual membership dues to grassroots environmental organizations. We direct our funding to community-based campaigns to protect threatened wild habitat, preferably where outdoor enthusiasts recreate. The Conservation Alliance’s mission is to engage outdoor businesses to help protect and conserve threatened wild places for their habitat and recreation values.

 

Leave No Trace

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors by all people, worldwide.

 

Freedom To Roam

Freedom to Roam is a new model for landscape protection, a coalition of people, businesses, conservation and recreation groups whose goal is to bring awareness of connectivity to the forefront of public knowledge through sound science and effective policies. One Percent For The Planet

Since 2002, 1% For The Planet has inspired members of the business community to contribute 1% of sales to environmental groups around the world. In return, this growing alliance of companies is given the opportunity not only to see their self-worth rise, but their net worth climb as well.

 

Fair Trade Federation

The Fair Trade Federation (FTF) is the trade association that strengthens and promotes North American organizations fully committed to fair trade. The Federation is part of the global fair trade movement, building equitable and sustainable trading partnerships and creating opportunities to alleviate poverty.

 

Prana Natural Power Initiative

In an effort to reduce Clearwater Outdoor's natural energy initiative we joined on Prana's Natural Power Initiative. In 2006, a year after the program began 100% offsets were effective in 250 states across the nation. For more information please see the website.
